Dyson on trial for human and Fae murders from hundreds of years ago? Either the Una Mens don’t believe in a statute of limitations or there’s a sinister conspiracy at work here.

Bo’s Trip Into Dyson’s Past

:

With the help of an Oracle and the Red String of Fate, Bo was able to get into Dyson’s memory and live out his past – hmm, Assassins Creed much? Timeline wise, this is after Dyson left his band of shifters, but before he travels to the new world. Here we find a Dyson who is only in it for himself. Between sleeping with everyone and their sister – literally – and then taunting their fathers, husbands and brothers, he is gaining quite the reputation.

Figuring the legendary Helskór could be his next victory, he didn’t think twice about the risks and thus had to kill Flora, the forest spirit he had been romantically involved with – who was played by Lauren in this incarnation. After burying her body, he pledged loyalty to Trick and fled to the New World with him.

Hale’s Threat

:

As former Ash, Hale tried to reason with the Una Mens on Dyson behalf. Regardless of what Dyson did in the past, it was all in the past. Time and again Dyson has protected the Fae, including helping to defeat the Garuda.

Despite these exceedingly powerful points, the Una Mens are dead set on Dyson’s execution. Tired of the fascism, Hale warns that one day the Fae will rise up against the Una Mens and their oppressive ways.

For a group that seeks justice, why are they so dead set on making sure Dyson gets none?

Una Mens Conspiracy
:

After Bo’s trip into Dyson’s memory, she learned that the Helskór might save him and prove his frame job. What she wasn’t ready for was finding out the Una Mens’ executioner was actually the one who set Dyson up all those years ago. This explains the Una Mens’ insistence on Dyson’s guilt. He was the last person to have the Helskór before Trick intervened.

Also, at the start of this episode we saw the Una Mens kill the Morrigan’s Scavenger whom we met a few episodes ago in “Let The Dark Times Roll”. What did she do? Is this all related and does the Morrigan part of the race to find the Helskór as well?

Trick’s Bag of Tricks

As the new acting Ash, Trick has been kept quite busy, but this all being a plot by the Una Mens is seeming more and more likely. There’s always been more to this humble bartender than meets the eye. This episode we found out he was a staff wielding monk who had a hand in hiding the Helskór. Trick is now connected to both of the Una Mens desires: possessing the power of the Blood Mage and the Helskór. I’m worried about our favorite bartender, especially after hearing Bo and the gang proclaim he’s the Blood King out loud in the Dal.

 Kenzi – Shadow Thief

:

After masking her scent and sneaking into the Una Mens’ inner sanctum,Kenzi’s cover is blown thanks to her not-so-subtle ringtone. While waiting for their execution, Dyson tells Kenzi’s that WHEN they get out of there, he will start training her to be a Shadow Thief.

Dyson, impressed with Kenzi, decides to train her when they get out.

This brings is back to a few episodes ago when Dyson said he could make her “more than human”. What a Shadow Thief is we will have to wait and see, but it certainly sounds awesome.

The Helskór

:

“It all started with a pair of shoes” Dyson remarked, but are these a beginning or an end. The Helskór are said to be a powerful weapon that will lead to the end of days. Usually considered a fairytale, these mythical shoes have been sought after by the most powerful Fae including ‘He Who Wanders’.

After prolonged exposure to the Helskór, Flora developed quite the Wolverine look.

Once put on, these shoes are hard to get off as they will not only judge the wearer, but will also drive them insane by bringing out the darkest parts of their being if they are unworthy. Add in them making you sprout some razor sharp claws and you have quite the deadly accessory.

What could the Una Mens possibly want with the Helskór? Do they wish to use it themselves, or stop someone else from bringing about the end of their days. The gloves are off and with the gang back together the race for the Helskór is on. Will Bo and the crew find Angel the Bartender, who also happens to be a shape-shifter, in time? Stay tuned.
